Happy Thursday loves! I’m so excited to be back with new content for you all this week. Today’s look is focused on fitness and how I plan to work it out even when I don’t feel like it. Does anyone else feel like that? Where you know you need to work out but just can’t bring yourself to get up and do it? Those that know me know that I have a competitive streak and played competitive tennis up until college. I enjoyed competing and playing hard but I have a love hate relationship with working out in a structured way. Tennis allowed me to train by practicing the actual sport.
I don’t know why I can’t motivate myself to go work out or never have the energy to do it. I always feel so accomplished when I’m done, I feel fabulous inside and out. It’s not like I forget that feeling, but finding the motivation to go to the gym and work out is where I struggle. After a long day of work, it’s hard to find the motivation to go straight to the gym or to go running. I have tried classes, yoga and pilates at home, working out alone, and even working with a private trainer but with each start, I find myself dreading it and putting it off.
I’ve started time and time again, but this time, I’m determined to get back on track and work out regularly. I have a goal weight I want to reach and I’m trying to develop a healthier lifestyle. I know everyday won’t be easy but I want to feel better in my clothes and feel strong.
There are two things that will make this easier for me. I have to make sure I remember to do this for MYSELF. Not for social media or for others, but for me. The other motivator for me is stylish workout wear! I read somewhere that if you have pretty cleaning supplies that you may feel more inclined to clean your house more and trust me it’s TRUE! When I get new cleaning supplies and products, I clean like a madwoman. I believe the same thing goes for workout wear. If I can get excited about cute workout wear, then I think working out will start to be more fun. Especially when I start to look and feel good in my clothes again.
So like any girl, I began researching workout wear and to my surprise, one of my favorite tennis players, Venus Williams has her own line, EleVEn! I loved every piece I saw and loved her vision for the fashion forward athletic woman. So imagine my excitement when EleVen offered me a chance to try out a few pieces to work out in. Even just trying on these items in this photo shoot, I already felt so strong and athletic. It’s amazing what looking the part will do to motivate you and I for one, am excited to be back at it!
If you’re looking for super cute and comfortable workout clothes like I was, please go check out EleVen by Venus Williams, she offers an amazing variety of items.
